Nene Park Trust
Brief
After competing a four way pitch, Design Agency won the project to redesign and redevelop the Nene Park Trust website. Nene Park Trust currently manage a number of diverse parklands and habitats in Peterborough - Ferry Meadows, the agricultural estate at Ailsworth, Castor and Sutton, the Orton Mere and Woodston parks and Thorpe Meadows.
Nene Park Trust wanted an updated look and feel to the website, helping to communicate their aim to "provide for the recreation to the public by the provision of a park for the benefit of the inhabitants of Peterborough and visitors with the object of improving the conditions of life for such persons".
Solution
As well as creating a new website design in line with the Nene Part Trust branding, one of the main features that we incorporated was the inclusion of an interactive map. We worked with the Google Maps API to enable the client to geocode the location of useful or pertinent sites within the park, including various and assorted leisure points, guest accommodations, as well as cafes and restaurants situated within or close to the Park.
The entire website has been built in our Umbraco Content Management System, allowing Nene Park Trust staff to update every area of the website with ease.
