Responsive Mobile Site for Pure McLaren
When McLaren launched their new car range, they wanted a responsive way to demo their range of super cars and custom track experiences. Having already worked with the marketing team at McLaren GT we were recommended to work on their new website and customer booking mobile application.
To help showcase the experiences available Design Agency used their image galleries from the previous events to create an interactive gallery.
All new events have a live upload feature that allows the attendees upload the pictures live from the track. This was then displayed at the events during the driver debriefing.
Events Management and Registration
McLaren needed the website to be self-managed by the users to reduce administration at McLaren HQ.
Design Agency created a custom module in Umbraco to allow users to create an account and register and manage all their track bookings online and through the mobile application.
Multiple videos were integrated into the website using the YouTube embed function combined with an easy to use custom module in Umbraco to make managing videos extremely simple.
McLaren simply needed to paste the url from YouTube into Umbraco and the code did the hard work, automatically sizing the videos throughout the different page layouts.
Social Media Integration
Due to the nature of the experiences, there was bound to be a lot of social media activity, with this in mind we added the ability to integrate all images shared via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
This allowed images to be uploaded to the website and keep the website feeling up-to-date and also to help build the Pure McLaren community.
